James P. Davis, PhD - Corporate Scientist

James Davis is the Corporate Scientist for EasyHRweb, LLC, Dr. Davis is responsible for architecture and analysis of databases and associated data management technology.

Dr. Davis received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering in 1980 and 1981, and PhD in Computer Engineering in 1989 all from the University of South Carolina. His research focus is in the areas of database architecture and analysis methods for multi-tiered web-based application systems. He was also an executive in the Healthcare practices at Global Health Technology, a supplier of application security infrastructure software, and Covansys, a supplier of web-based application solutions in Healthcare and the Public sector.

Dr. Davis is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of South Carolina, where he conducts ongoing research in areas of database modeling and design, and business analysis and requirements modeling methods.

Dr. Davis is a member of the American Medical Informatics Association, and participates in the clinical knowledge and workflow workgroups. He is a senior member of the IEEE, and a program evaluator for the Engineering Advisory Council on engineering education, participating in the ABET program accreditation activities of higher education institutions in the US and abroad.
